Pickets Shut Down DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN & THE PENGUIN in NYC Until Writers Strike Over
Writers Guild of America pickets have shut down filming of Daredevil: Born Again and The Penguin series in New York City until the strike is over.
When the Writers Strike began on May 2nd, Disney+’s Daredevil: Born Again series, starring Charlie Cox, was two months into an eight-month shoot and Max’s The Batman spinoff series The Penguin, starring Colin Farrell, was three months into a six-month shoot

The Marvel blind hero and DC villain series both claimed to have “locked” scripts for all their episodes so filming continued without the writers.
But pickets at the studios and on location in New York repeatedly shut down production over the last six weeks so both series have decided to remain on pause until the strike is over, according to Deadline: Hollywood.
Daredevil: Born Again
Blind attorney Matt Murdock’s personal life and career spiral out of control after the Kingpin learns his secret identity as Daredevil from a drug-addicted ex-lover and uses the information to destroy him.
