M. Night Shyamalan’s 16th Thriller TRAP (aka GOOD GRADES) Filming in Ontario This Fall

M. Night Shyamalan’s 16th thriller Trap (working title Good Grades) starts filming in Mississauga, Ontario this October, now that production has a signed SAG-AFTRA Interim agreement.

The prolific Philadelphia filmmaker’s movies have grossed $3.3 billion at the box office, starting with three big hits — Sixth Sense, Unbreakable and Signs — followed by four pricey misfires.

Once Shyamalan returned to smaller Indie budgets, his audience returned too, with this year’s release Knock at the Cabin marking his seventh #1 opening weekend at the box office.

Not much is known about his 16th feature.

It’s a thriller. It’s very unusual and very new compared to what I’ve been trying to do [recently], but I’m feeling very excited about the story . . .[it] might be something that you’ve seen before but the angle is very, very unique – the point of view. — M. Night Shyamalan teased NME.

There’s room for it on his viewfinder.
