Shaun’s a new Dad in the season seven premiere of The Good Doctor, now filming in Vancouver.
Freddie Highmore’s Dr. Shaun Murphy and Paige Spara’s Lea Dilallo welcomed their son Steven Aaron Murphy in the season 6 finale of the long-running ABC medical drama.
The baby boy is named after Shaun’s late brother Steve and Shaun’s father figure Dr. Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff).
Unfortunately, Dr, Glassman wasn’t present at the birth, still angry at how Shaun forced the older neurosurgeon to stand down from an operation after learning his mentor had suffered a stroke.
But “Glassy” did s send a gift — a blue baby blanket monogrammed Steve.
Dr. Glassman will be back for season 7, co-showrunner Liz Friedman confirmed to TVLine.
Others are leaving the hospital: Dr. Danny Perez (Brandon Larracuente)
And Dr. Marcus Andrews, since Hill Harper is running for a US Senate seat.
