Tron: Ares (a movie . . . about AI and what it means, and takes, to be human).
Jared Leto is off to Vancouver to start filming Tron: Ares — the third movie in Disney’s big-budget Tron franchise with Leto starring as Ares, an emerging sentient program that crosses over into the human world but is not ready for contact.
Joining Jared Leto on the Grid are Evan Peters, Greta Lee and Jodie Turner-Smith.
Evan Peters takes over the role of ENCOM’s Edward Dillinger Jr.; Greta Lee is a video game programmer and tech company CEO and Jodie Turner-Smith plays the female lead Athena.
Originally scheduled to start filming last summer, Tron 3 laid off over 150 film crew in mid-August amid the duel Hollywood strikes and didn’t regroup until early December.
