Justin Hartley’s BC-filmed Tracker is on target to be American broadcast’s most-watched series this season, averaging over 10 million viewers per episode over seven days.
And that doesn’t include Tracker’s post-Super Bowl launch on CBS, which drew over 20 million viewers over seven days. The launch isn’t part of the average because it aired outside of prime time.
The Hollywood Reporter crunched the numbers, using Nielsen’s live+7 averages through March 4th.
What’s Tracker about?
Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) travels the country in his GM truck and Airstream trailer, helping police and private citizens solve crimes and locate missing persons.
So far Colter has solved cases in Klamath Falls, Oregon; Missoula, Idaho; Springland, Montana and Mt. Shasta, California; with locations in BC like Kamloops, North Vancouver, the Sea to Sky Highway and Mission playing the various locales.
Sea to Sky Highway.
Next up for Colter is a case in St. Louis, Missouri on Sunday, March 17th.
St. Louis: The odds are stacked against Colter as he is tasked by a convicted murderer’s teenage daughter to track down a missing witness who could prove her dad’s innocence.
Tracker started shooting its series during the west coast’s rainy season late last November, more than a year after its pilot shot in Kamloops and Vancouver. The CBS series wraps filming season one this April.
