That’s how Michelle Yeoh described her Star Trek: Section 31 movie to Variety for its Star Trek cover story.
Originally intended to be a Paramount+ series, the “special original movie event” follows Michelle Yeoh as the semi-reformed but still ruthless mirror-verse Emperor Philippa Georgiou, who wound up involved in Starfleet’s covert Section 31 in season 2 of Star Trek: Discovery.
Although she travelled with the Discovery crew to the 32nd century in season 3, she had to return to the past because she couldn’t maintain cohesion so far from both the mirror-verse and her own time.
