Guillermo del Toro’s long-gestating Frankenstein movie for Netflix is one-third of the way through production.

Toronto locals like photographer Andrew Thomas have captured some stunning visuals of F (as del Toro calls it) shooting on its outdoor ship set.

Could the hooded creature below be the 6′ 5″ tall Jacob Elordi as Frankenstein’s monsterr?

We first saw the ship set in late January in the background of a Guillermo del Toro post, but the image didn’t do it justice.

What’s Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein movie about?

Set in Easter Europe in the 19th Century, this is the story of Dr. Pretorious, who needs to track down Frankenstein’s monster (Jacob Elordi) -believed to have died in a fire forty years before–in order to continue the experiments of Dr. Victor Frankenstein (Oscar Isaac).

I’m doing Frankenstein. We’re working on it, we start shooting on it in [March]. It’s a movie I’ve been wanting to do for 50 years since I saw the first Frankenstein and I had an epiphany and is basically a movie that requires a lot of growth and a lot of tools that I couldn’t have done 10 years ago, 20 years ago and now I’m brave or crazy enough or something and we’re going to tackle it. — Guillermo del Toro to Collider.
