Director Joachim Rønning shared an image of Tron: Ares in downtown Vancouver last night for the first of five overnight shoots this week.
The first four overnights take place on Burrard Street near the Bentall 5 tower which plays ENCOM headquarters for the third movie in Disney’s Tron franchise.
Crowds of backgrounders ran into the Burrard & Dunsmuir intersection.
Local fan Amanda/@MagicalMeAmanda captured a scene with what could be Greta Lee’s Eve, one of the world’s best programmers who works at ENCOM and has a strong connection with “Ares”.

In Tron world, ENCOM is one of the largest tech companies and maker of video games TRON and SPACE PARANOIDS, among others.

His Ares was spotted on set a month ago at Bentall 5 as ENCOM headquarters with Greta Lee’s Eve.

Not long after, Leto left Vancouver to tour with his band Thirty Seconds to Mars in South America and Mexico, but could return to Vancouver for more Tron 3 filming this week?.
