New Netflix RODEO Series With Tim McGraw Filming in Calgary

A new Netflix rodeo series, starring country music star Tim McGraw as a former rodeo star mentoring a teen girl, is filming in Calgary this summer and Fall.

In his 40s, Aaron Tealey (Tim McGraw) is an honest-to-God Texas hero, a cocksure rodeo star who wears a championship belt buckle for bull riding — but his body is a mess, a partly-mended sack of broken bones that threatens to go ragdoll every time he rides — a bull, a golf cart, anything.

Gloria Soto is a teenage girl who could take away Aaron’s belt buckle and his legend — one of these days, with proper mentoring, if she doesn’t get herself killed. Naomi Soto, Gloria’s mother, wants her daughter to stick to algebra and chemistry and stay far away from the rodeo ring (it should be called The Fool Killer). Two questions will be answered soon: 1. Which way will Gloria jump? 2. How hard will Aaron land?
