The WLF is in town.
Did you see The Last of Us shoot in downtown Vancouver today with a Washington Liberation Front convoy patrolling two blocks of Gastown dressed as a post-apocalyptic, overgrown Seattle?
The WLF, or Wolves, are a militia group that controls most of Seattle’s survivors from a global fungal pandemic in season 2 of HBO’s acclaimed video-game adaption.
Watch the convoy of twelve military vehicles turn into the set on the 200 and 300 blocks of Alexander Street.

The twelve WLF military vehicles and accompanying foot soldiers moved through Alexander Street in take after take today.

Look at how many people it takes to make our favourite television shows.

The Last of Crew spent Thursday turning Alexander Street into a wasteland – adding debris, patches of tall grass and grimy abandoned cars with Washington plates.

What is The Last of Us?

The Last of Us takes place 20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed by a fungal pandemic. Joel (Pedro Pascal), a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle teen Ellie (Bella Ramsey) out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey as they both must traverse across the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.
In season 2, we meet some new characters like Ellie’s new friend Dina (Isabela Merced) and scout Jesse (Young Mazino) in Jackson, Wyoming, where Joel and Ellie settle after the events of season one.
In a parallel storyline, we meet a group of former Fireflies who’ve joined the WLF militia group in Seattle: soldier Abby Anderson (Kaitlyn Dever), who’s seeking vengeance for someone she loved, soldier Manny (Danny Ramirez), doctor Mel (Ariela Barer), military medic Nora (Tati Gabrielle) and Owen (Spencer Lord).

Some of the new cast could have been part of today’s convoy.
Missing: the fungus zombies which come in a variety of forms like Clickers and Bloaters.
