The third movie in the Tron franchise, which turned downtown Vancouver into a real-life grid for six weeks of night shoots, unveiled a clip at D23 of light cycles speeding through our city streets, slicing a police car in half.
Jared Leto stars as an emerging sentient program Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I.
We’re not going there, they are coming here — Evan Peters’s villainous Julian Dillinger Jr.reportedly says in the clip.
Jeff Bridges’s OG character Kevin Flynn reportedly appeared at the end of the clip dressed in white robes, saying “Welcome, program” to Jared Leto’s Ares..
