Welcome Back to Vancouver: Jared Padalecki Filming FIRE COUNTRY Guest-Turn

Welcome back to Vancouver, Jared Padalecki.

The Supernatural and Walker star is here to shoot a three-episode guest arc on season 3 of CBS’s hit series Fire Country — as SoCal figrefighter Camden, a twin flame to Max Thieriot’s Bode.

We’re so excited. The part was written for Jared, very specifically. Jared and Max are buddies, so that helped. — showrunner Tia Napolitano told TV Insider.

Camden is more Bode [Max Theriot] than anyone else on our show. I think they’re twin flames and similar and Camden’s able to encourage, draw out maybe the dangerous side of Bode, but he sees the talent and leans into it. He doesn’t try to put lightning back into the bottle. — showrunner Tia Napolitano told TV Insider.

The 6′ 4″ (1.93 m) Jared Padalecki, who co-starred with Jensen Ackles as brothers Sam and Dean Winchester for 15 seasons of Supernatural production in Vancouver, is looking for his next big role after The CW officially cancelled his Walker series after four seasons.

After Walker, Padalecki quickly said Yes to a role on the fifth and final season of The Boys too, where he and Ackles (whose Soldier Boy will be a series regular in season 5) could reunite on screen.

And now there is a possibility for something bigger — a possible spinoff series in the Fire Country franchise,

What’s Fire Country about?

Seeking redemption and a shortened prison sentence, convict Bode Donovan (Max Thieriot) joined an inmate firefighting program called Three Rock in season one that returned him to his small Northern California hometown Edgewater, where he and other inmates worked alongside his parents (Billy Burke & Diane Farr) and other elite Cal Fire firefighters from Station 42 to extinguish massive blazes across the region.

Then in the season one finale, Bode tanked his own parole, sacrificing himself for fellow inmate and friend Freddy. After six months in prison, Bode returned to the Three Rock crew in season two and a lot of changes: Manny (Kevin Alejandro), who got demoted after Bode went back to prison, ended up at Station 42; Manny’s daughter and Bode’s love Gabriela (Stephanie Arcila) trained as a paramedic and got engaged to her trainer Diego (Rafael de la Fuente); and Eve (Jules Latimer) took Manny’s place as boss of the inmate firefighters.

Where did we leave Fire Country at the end of season 2?

Bode got an early release and is a free man. Will he be able to join Cal Fire?

Manny, who was about to be arrested for punching Luke (Michael Trucco) for trying to shut down Three Rock, briefly went on the run but returned to walk Gabriela down the aisle at her wedding to Diego.

At the wedding, Manny stopped Bode from trying to talk Gabriela out of it and we were left with her turning to look longingly at Bode as he left the church. Did she say “I do”?

What happens with Genevieve who is not Bode’s child after all? Is Jake’s high school friend Rick her biological father?
