Episode 2 of BC-filmed CBS medical mystery series Watson, starring Morris Chestnut in a new spin on Sherlock Holmes’s famous partner, airs tonight in its regular Sunday night time slot after Tracker.
Watson had a special premiere on January 26th after the most-watched AFC Championship game on record,, when nearly 58 million tuned in to see the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills in a close game.
The special premiere retained almost 10 million of the NFL audience in the U.S.
Six months after the presumed death of his friend and partner Sherlock Holmes at the hands of Moriarty, Dr. John Watson (Morris Chestnut) resumes his medical career as the head of a Pittsburgh clinic funded by Holmes and dedicated to treating rare disorders.

And there’s a twist.:
Watson’s old life isn’t done with him, though – Moriarty and Watson are set to write their own chapter of a story that has fascinated audiences for more than a century.
We learned in the season premiere that Randall Park, who usually plays a nice guy, is the villain Moriarty in this iteration.

And it was reported later that Matt Berry from What We Do in the Shadows will be the voice of the presumed-dead Sherlock Holmes.
Watson filmed its version of the death of Sherlock Holmes at North Vancouver’s Capilano Fishery on June 17th.

After fans criticized Vancouver for not playing a good Swtzerland, showrunner Craig Sweeney joked — “I I know, I know, it’s a very lush representation of Switzerland, the rainforest version of Switzerland.”
