The next Colleen Hoover adaption Reminders of Him, about a young mother who returns home after prison to try to build a relationship with her daughter, is filming in Calgary this Spring.
After serving five years in prison for a tragic mistake, Kenna Rowan returns to the town where it all went wrong, hoping to reunite with her four-year-old daughter. But the bridges Kenna burned are proving impossible to rebuild. Everyone in her daughter’s life is determined to shut Kenna out, no matter how hard she works to prove herself. The only person who hasn’t closed the door on her completely is Ledger Ward, a local bar owner.
Last summer’s Colleen Hoover adaption It Ends With Us became a massive hit, with global box office of $350 million, in spite of or maybe enhanced by a divisive press tour with stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni attacking each other through surrogates. Blake Lively later filed a lawsuit against Baldoni (her co-star and the director of the movie), Wayfarer Studios, Baldoni’s crisis PR team and others for sexual harassment and claims of damage to her reputation and brands. Baldoni counter-sued. Litigation is ongoing.
