In the season 2 opener of light-hearted Vancouver crime drama Wild Cards, Vanessa Morgan’s con-woman Max Mitchell and Giacomo Gianniotti’s cop Cole Ellis are reassigned as partners to help bust a network of high-speed robbers.
But Ellis is wary, can he ever trust Max again?
Season one’s cliffhanger found the unlikely partners in a rough place: with Ellis about to arrest Max for her triple-crossing role in a $33 million jewel heist when she showed up at his houseboat to tell him she’d discovered who murdered his brother.
I’m fast. He’s furious. — Max, at the wheel of a souped-up Mustang.
