BLACK MIRROR Season 7: Rashida Jones’s Ad-Spouting Teacher Episode Filmed in Vancouver

Rashida Jones is an advertisement-spouting teacher who collapses in front of her class in the Black Mirror season 7 episode Common People, which filmed in Vancouver last Fall.

When a medical emergency leaves schoolteacher Amanda fighting for her life, her desperate husband Mike signs her up for Rivermind, a high-tech system that will keep her alive.

But there’s a catch. The big price tag for the life-saving Rivermind tech means that over time the couple can’t afford it unless she becomes a walking pop-up ad.

Starring Rashida Jones as Amanda, Chris O’Dowd as Mike, and Tracee Ellis Ross as Gaynor from Rivermind.

Amanda’s classroom collapse was filmed at Queen Elizabeth Elementary in Vancouver’s Point Grey area last September.
