What is Resident Alien about?
An alien passes himself off as a human named Harry (Alan Tudyk) and makes some friends in the small town of Patience, Colorado.
How did season 3 end?
Harry the alien (Alan Tudyk) and his baby Bridget are captives of the Grey aliens on their Moon base in the last shot of season 3.
This is some bullshit — Harry the alien.
So who answered the door at Harry’s cabin? That would be the shape-shifting Mantid, who escaped from the Moon prison and is now in Patience posing as Harry and looking for his next meal.
Young Max (Judah Preh) is the only one who can see the Mantid’s true alien form. Will the other citizens of Patience clue in that it’s not their Harry before the Mantid eats them?
It looks like the Mantid is responsible for the gruesome murders that Sheriff Mike (Corey Reynolds), Deputy Liv (Elizabeth Bowen) and FBI agent Jules Gardner (Jewel Staite) are investigating in season 4.

Season 4 logline:
Harry (Alan Tudyk) and his baby Bridget (Kesler Talbot) stuck in prison on the Grey Moonbase, while a shape-shifting alien called a Mantid (also Alan Tudyk) has taken over his body on Earth, passing himself off as the real Harry Vanderspeigle. Harry manages to escape the Greys and arrives on Earth for a showdown with the Mantid but soon finds he might not have what he needs to finish the job.
Asta (Sara Tomko) and D’arcy (Alice Wetterlund) struggle to keep a secret from Ben (Levi Fiehler) and Kate (Meredith Garretson), who both are desperate to find answers to what has been happening to them. Sheriff Mike (Corey Reynolds) and Deputy Liv (Elizabeth Bowen) attempt to solve some mysterious deaths in Patience that Sheriff Mike is beginning to think aren’t caused by anything human.

Ladysmith on Vancouver Island plays Main Street in Patience, but Fort Langley is another more convenient location for the Colorado town.
