Who is Hilary Swank playing in season 3 of BC-filmed Yellowjackets?
Yellowjackets is about a group of survivors from a girls’ high-school soccer team who 25 years ago were stranded deep in the Canadian wilderness after a plane crash and went feral.
Fans have speculated that Hilary Swank i’s playing the adult version of Melissa from the Yellowjackets team stranded in the Wilderness. That theory hit a roadblock last week when adult Van casually mentioned in the present-day timeline that Melissa and Gen were both dead.
Perhaps instead, Hilary Swank is playing adult Alex, the secret daughter of frog scientist Hannah (Ashley Sutton), who was captured by the Yellowjackets in the Wilderness in last week’s episode.
Update: In a Yellowjackets-y twist, the two main fan theories converge. Hilary Swank is playing adult Melissa, who’s still wearing the trademark backwards baseball cap. but under a new identity. Melissa faked a suicide and became someone else to marry Alex, the daughter of frog scientist Hannah killed in the Wilderness.
An unhinged adult Shauna bites a chunk out of her ex-girlfriend’s arm and forces her to eat it.
Episode 3×08 A Normal Boring Life – With a possible escape from their nightmare, the Yellowjackets learn not everyone may be in a rush to leave; in the present, the unexpected return of an old teammate sends Shauna spiraling in ways that should probably concern everyone.
