The latest Yellowjackets season 3 episode titled Croak begins with a frog orgy. which explains how three strangers stumbled onto the teen survivors during their latest cannibalistic feast in the remote Canadian wilderness.
Yellowjackets is about a group of survivors from a girls’ high-school soccer team who 25 years ago were stranded deep in the Canadian wilderness after a plane crash and went feral.
Two of the strangers are married frog scientists Edwin (Nelson Franklin) and Hannah (Ashley Sutton) who have hiked into the wilderness in October 1997 to study this rare mating event of the Arctic Banshee frogs. The third is their wilderness guide Kodiak (Joel McHale), who may or may not be who he says he is.
We see them set up in their base camp near the Yellowjackets, filmed at the Detached Flake climbing area in Squamish.

The climbing area was also a key location in Shogun.
The strangers might not have found the Yellowjackets camp and crazed teen Lottie might not have killed Edwin with an axe to his head, if the girls-gone-feral hadn’t chosen to barbecue Coach Ben.
After the shock encounter, the girls quickly organize a hunt of the strangers. Edwin is dead, Kodiak is cornered at a cliff edge and Hannah is captured at the episode’s end, but not before she hides a DAT tape recording of the Yellowjackets depravity..
