Think of the furthest place north you’ve ever been. Now keep going . . .
Canada’s Arctic comedy North of North, starring True Detective: Night Country’s Anna Lambe, is renewed for season 2 on Netflix (and CBC?).
North of North follows a young Inuk woman (Anna Lambe) who wants to build a new future for herself after a spontaneous — and extremely public — exit from her marriage. But it won’t be easy in a small Arctic town where everybody knows your business.

A year ago, Anna Lambe, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Keria Cooper, Make Harper, Braeden Clarke, Jay Ryan, Kelly William, Zorga Qaunaq and Doreen Simmonds travelled north of north to film the comedy in snowy Iqaluit in Canada’s most northern territory Nunavut.

We’ve already survived a blizzard during prep, so there’s no doubt our amazing cast and crew is ready to shoot a show in the Arctic. Also, a huge nakurmiik to our community of Iqaluit for being so welcoming — we couldn’t do this show without your support. — executive producers Aglok MacDonald and Arnaquq-Baril in a statement.
