Hulu’s Tell me Lies, starring Grace Van Patten and Jackson White in one of the most toxic, messed-up relationships, is shooting season 3 in Toronto this Spring and Summer.
Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) quickly fall into an addictive entanglement that will permanently alter their lives and the lives of everyone around them. Their tumultuous and intoxicating relationship unfolds over eight years.
Tell Me Lies is set at a fictional upstate New York college called Baird College in the late 2000s.
How did season 2 end?
No one holds a grudge like Stephen.
In 2008:
Stephen’s on-and-off college girlfriend Diana (Alicia Crowder) gets the better of him by manipulating him into breaking up with her, knowing that if he thought she’d done poorly on her LSAT and her rich Dad had cut her off, then she would be of no use to him.
After Lucy sleeps with Stephen and current boyfriend Leo (Thomas Doherty) on the same day, Stephen baits Leo at the college Christmas party into a beatdown which prompts Lucy to break up with Leo and get back together with a bloodied but smirking Stephen.
In 2015:
Lucy and Stephen sleep together ahead of Bree (Catherine Missal) and Evan (Brandon Cook)’s wedding ceremony, even though Stephen is engaged to Lydia, Lucy’s friend from home.
Then moments before the ceremony, Stephen texts Bree audio from 2008 of Evan confessing to cheating on her with Lucy, getting his years-in-the-making revenge on Lucy and Evan.

Is season 3 the final season?
Showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer has said that three seasons is a “very clean good number” for a smaller story like Tell Me Lies, unlike a big procedural series.
Her husband Tom Ellis had a recurring role in season 2 as a professor’s husband whom Bree has an affair with.
Production moves from Atlanta, Georgia to Toronto for season 3.
