Vancouver crime caper Wild Cards, starring Vanessa Morgan as con-woman Max Mitchell and Giacomo Gianniotti as cop Cole Ellis, is renewed by the CBC for seasons three and four in Canada.
Wild Cards is co-produced by Canada’s CBC Television network and America’s The CW network.
The show’s fate on the CW is not yet known, with the season 2 finale pre-empted by a Trump town hall last night and pushed to next Wednesday, May 7th.
But the CW put marketing might behind season 2, creating movie-style posters for all 13 episodes., which were each inspired by a popular movie or show.
The season opener was inspired by the Fast and Furious franchise.
I’m fast. He’s furious. — Max at the wheel of a souped-up Mustang.

And episode four evoked Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller Rear Window.

The finale was inspired by the classic noir movie L.A. Confidential (correction),
Production on season 2 of the “blue-sky” series began last September and wrapped last December in Vancouver.
