STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS Will End With Season 5. Filmed in Toronto.

It’s a five-season mission for the U.S.S. Enterprise.

The wildly inventive Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, starring Anson Mount as Captain Pike and Ethan Peck as Spock, is renewed for a fifth and final season of six episodes.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds follows the voyages of Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) on the U.S.S. Enterprise, which predate the voyages of Captain James T. Kirk on the U.S.S. Enterprise.

Production on season 5 will begin later this year in Toronto.

Season 3, which wrapped filming a year ago, premieres July 17th with Captain Pike facing a difficult decision: With orders not to aggravate the situation on a colony outside of Federation jurisdiction, how can he rescue over 100 colonists, some of his closest crewmates and his girlfriend Captain Marie Batel (Melanie Scrofano) held captive by the human-eating lizards the Gorn?

The season 2 finale ended with a “To Be Continued” so the action picks up where we left off.

In a later mission, Captain Pike, Uhura, La’an and Chapel use a serum to turn Vulcan.

Dressed in Vulcan garb.

Season 3 will also bring us a Hollywood murder mystery directed by Star Trek veteran Jonathan Frakes.
