Cast and creators of season 2 of BC-filmed Percy Jackson and the Olympians teased fans at San Diego Comic Con today with a December 10th release date on Disney+, some Tyson cyclops footage and other reveals about their very wet adventures in the Sea of Monsters.

For those in Hall H, the biggest cheers happened at the sight of Percy’s half-brother Tyson turning into a Cyclops.
Co-showrunner Dan Shotz described how things unravel for Percy Jackson in season 2:
Things were finally starting to go okay for Percy. He finally made some friends. He found the safe place where he felt he belonged . . .Camp Half Blood. And now we’re gonna flip everything on its head. In Season 2, his best friend’s captured. His camp is under threat: It’s run by some jerk and being attacked by waves of monsters.
And so Percy has to set out to set things right, and that means a quest to find the Golden Fleece, which is a legendary artifact that can heal anything or anyone, and he needs to use it to restore the protective barrier that surrounds camp. And so Season 2 is about Percy trying to hold all of his life together as it’s breaking and changing.
The series shot much of season one’s American Road Trip on the volume stage at Mammoth Studios in Burnaby, but that wasn’t going to work in season 2, according to co-showrunner Craig Silverstein.
Season 2 is epic. It is so huge what we were able to build. We are on the Sea of Monsters adventure. So we are out at sea. We are on 175-foot iron clad ship. We are on cruise ships. We are in chariot races. We are fighting incredible monsters like Scylla and Charybdis, the Laestrygonians. It is so massive, and we cannot wait for you guys to see what we did.

Locals were introduced to 6’5″ Daniel Dieme as Percy Jackson’s half-brother Tyson early on in production.
Crew dressed a few blocks of West Hastings Street in downtown Vancouver as New York City for this sequence of Percy, and eventually Tyson, getting into a yellow cab with Leah Sava Jeffries’s Annabeth.
But it isn’t easy. Annabeth does NOT like Cyclops, even half-brother Cyclops.
Daniel Diemer’s Tyson carries Walker Scobell’s Percy. Both appear to be wearing jackets from Percy’s new special school Meriwether College Prep.

The cab is operated by the three Gray Sisters, played by Margaret Cho as Wasp, Sandra Bernhard as Anger and Kristen Schaal as Tempest.
On location at the main Camp Half Blood set in Langley/Aldergrove for the chariot races.

Other big practical sets in season 2 include the Princess Andromeda cruise ship housing Kronos’s army. Clarisse’s giant 170-foot ironclad warship, the jungle cave lair of the giant cyclops Polyphemus (Aleks Paunovic) and the tropical island spa of the mysterious C.C. (Rosemarie DeWitt) according to EW.
