STRANGE NEW WORLDS Season 3: Murder Mystery Homage to 1960s STAR TREK

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds screened season 3 episode A Space Adventure Hour to fans at San Diego Comic Con.

Directed by Star Trek royalty Jonathan Frakes, the meta-mystery follows La’An (Christina Chong) as she tests a prototype holodeck with a fictional case only she can solve.

The murder happens in 1969 Hollywood with the actors and makers of a colourful space adventure show The Last Frontier (a homage to the original Star Trek) as the main suspects.

Paul Wesley features in the episode as a William Shatner-type actor Maxwell Saint behind the Captain Kirk-style character in the show within a show.

I’m trying to do everything I can to pay respect and homage to what William Shatner created.– Paul Wesley told the crowd at Comic Con.

Unfortunately, the fate of La’An’s Enterprise hangs in the balance as her failure to solve the case has greater and greater consequences.
