What’s Boston Blue about?
Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) joins the Boston PD from NYPD and partners with Detective Lena Silver, (Sonequa Martin-Green) the oldest daughter of a notable Boston law enforcement family..
Why does Danny leave New York? He joins the Boston PD to look after and support his son Sean (now portrayed by Mika Amonsen) who’s a rookie patrol officer in Beantown.
In season one r, Danny’s sister Erin Reagan-Doyle (Bridget Moynahan) and his girlfriend New York Detective Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) visit him in Boston. More crossovers from New York to Boston are expected in season 2.
How did season one end?
Detective Lena Silver (Sonequa Martin-Green) was shot on the job and underwent emergency surgery.
After pulling through the surgery, one of the first people she sees — after her family — is her partner Danny Reagan.
Then her biological father Chris Williams (Eric King) walks into the room.
Everything seems to be coming together for her recovery, but as her boyfriend Brian (Ryan Boussard) is driving to a Silver family dinner, a mystery driver purposefully T-bones his car, sending it into the river..
