Batwoman
It wasn’t an easy decision but those who know, know. — Ruby Rose.
Ruby Rose, who’s hanging up the Batwoman cowl and cape after one season, thanked cast, crew, producers and studio in an Instagram video today.
Thank you everyone for coming on this journey. If I mentioned everyone it would be 1000 tags.. but Thank you to the cast, crew, producers and studio. It wasn’t an easy decision but those who know, know.. I didn’t want to not acknowledge everyone involved and how big this was for TV and for our community. I have stayed silent because that’s my choice for now but know I adore you all. I’m sure next season will be amazing also. Xxx *hangs up cowl and cape. — Ruby Rose

She announced her departure in a statement last week.
I have made the very difficult decision to not return to Batwoman next season. This was not a decision I made lightly as I have the utmost respect for the cast, crew and everyone involved with the show in both Vancouver and in Los Angeles. — Ruby Rose in a statement.
An inside source said work load was a major factor for Rose wanting off the show. Coming from big features, she didn’t enjoy the long hours demanded of a lead working in Vancouver on an Arrowverse series.
It was a breakup. She wasn’t happy working on the show, and did that make her fun to work with? No. So everyone decided it would be in the best interests of the show, and for all concerned, if they parted ways. It just wasn’t a good fit. — an inside source told TV Line.
But Rose disputed that on her Instagram.
Don’t believe everything you read by anon sources online. Also I lived in Vancouver for a year working on the mountains when I was 18 because I love that city! I’ve also worked in other places in Canada.. perfect beautiful country.
Who would you like to see under the red wig?
The studio and network are firmly committed to Batwoman’s second season and long-term future, and we — along with the show’s talented creative team — look forward to sharing its new direction, including the casting of a new lead actress and member of the LGBTQ community, in the coming months. — Warner Bros TV and The CW in a statement.
Batwoman is renewed for season 2 with a faux Bruce Wayne expected to cause trouble at Wayne Enterprises.
It wasn’t all work. There was on-set fun on Batwoman and during the Crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths.
