Season One:
The Order follows Belgrave University student Jack Morton (Jake Manley), who wants to join a secret society of dark magicians called the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose. The leader of the Order is Jack’s estranged father Edward Coventry (Max Martini) whom Jack and his grandfather (Matt Frewer) blame for the death of his mother. Student Alyssa Drake (Sarah Grey) becomes Jack’s magical tutor.
Meanwhile, rival society the Knights of Saint Christopher recruits Jack too and he is inducted into the group and becomes a werewolf. Coventry kills Jack’s grandfather, captures Jack and his friends and discovers Jack is his son, who must be sacrificed if Coventry is to get the final piece of Vade Maecum, a spell book which gives its owner unlimited magical powers.
Coventry seemingly kills Jack but it’s actually a magical double.
Jack ends season one thinking he can be a member of both societies but the new leader of the Order Vera Stone (Katherine Isabelle) commands Alyssa to wipe Jack’s memory.
