Barry and Iris’s speedster kids from the future Nora/XS and Bart/Impulse don’t go back to 2049 in The Flash season 7 finale.
And showrunner Eric Wallace tells TV Line that he “loves” these characters and we shouldn’t be surprised to see them “multiple times next year”.
Does this mean Jessica Parker Kennedy and Jordan Fisher will recur in season 8?
Unfortunately, the West-Allen family of speedsters won’t include Iris suiting up again. Her speed in the season 7 finale is a temporary gift.

Despite the West-Allens suiting up and Jay Garrick & Nora the Speed Force helping out, in the end Godspeed gets his organic speed. But Barry has a plan.
Barry teams up with his arch-nemesis Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash (Tom Cavanagh) to defeat Godspeed in a spectacular lightning fight, filmed at Vancouver’s Science Centre.
But after defeating Godspeed, Reverse Flash turns on The Flash only to discover his protege is faster than him.
What did you do? I created you. I taught you everything you know. Everything you are, it’s because of me. What did you do? — Reverse Flash to The Flash.
I got faster. Didn’t you?
No but I will. Mark my words Flash, I will.
The finale closes with Barry and Iris renewing their vows with Nora & Bart witnessing and Cisco officiating.
