A ham radio link across time allows father-and-daughter police detectives to speak as if death and 20 years did not separate them.
Peyton List (The Flash/The Tomorrow People) is the present-day police detective Raimy and Riley Smith (Nashville) her estranged father Frank Sullivan, a detective who died in 1996, according to Deadline Hollywood. As the unlikely duo work on an unsolved case they form a new bond, but the “butterfly effects” will cause havoc in present day. Frequency added Lenny Jacobson as Raimy’s BFF and next door neighbour Gordo. Supernatural show runner Jeremy Carver’s CW pilot is a re-imagining of the 2000 paranormal film Frequency — whose father-and-son police detectives were played by Dennis Quaid and Jim Caviezel.
The CW pilot Frequency is expected to film in metro Vancouver from March 14th to April 1st (dates subject to change) according to the Directors Guild of Canada-BC production list.
