Kristin Lehman from The Killing will star as “feisty female Vancouver detective” Angie [Flynn] solving murders in the 13-episode midseason CTV series, which starts filming here on September 17th.
Here she is last April as feisty political campaign consultant and murder suspect Gwen Eaton, relaxing in between takes of a scene for The Killing with Alan Dale as her Senator father at the Vancouver Public Library.
Motive’s twist is to reveal the killer at the start of each episode and then let us follow along divorced single Mom Angie Snow’s efforts to solve the murder and uncover the reasons behind it. “The audience navigates the twisted and complicated maze of each murder and solves the puzzle alongside the detective and her team,.” according to the CTV release. Daniel Cerone from The Mentalist and Dexter wrote the pilot and Trish Williams will direct it. Motive is produced by Vancouver’s Foundation Pictures and Lark Productions.
