FE FI FO . . RUN! Three weeks from tonight, The Giant (Jorge Garcia) is back with a huge grudge and he’s unleashing his vengeance on the town of Storybrooke — after being kidnapped and brought there by Cora. He looks as angry as ever but maybe not so giant size.
I watched Jorge Garcia in costume do a scene of Anton the Giant furiously stomping along the street as cars swerved out of his way, filmed on a rainy December morning on Moncton Street in Steveston. Later, Once Upon a Time crew shot scenes of townsfolk running away from The Giant in terror as Charming (Josh Dallas) and Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin with a bow and quiver of arrows on her back) stand their ground.
Why is he so angry with Charming? It may be a case of mistaken identity from something that happened in fairytale-land-that-was when Anton climbed down the beanstalk to try to befriend some humans. Apparently, It didn’t go well.
Whatever happened, it sounds like he plans to kill Charming and Regina (Lana Parrilla) offers to help. Once Upon a Time crew dug a six-foot-deep hole (for a beanstalk or a giant footprint?) on an empty lot on Bayview Street in Steveston to film scenes of Charming (Josh Dallas) yelling up at a camera meant to be Anton. Why is he so mad?
Once Upon a Time’s next epsiode airs Sunday, February 10th, at 8 p.m. on ABC in the U.S. and CTV in Canada.
