Tim Burton stood on the south sidewalk of Powell Street about three to six feet away from me tonight to talk crew through the tracking shot he wanted of an exterior of a Gastown store dressed as a North Beach gallery in San Francisco circa late 1950s/early 1960s, judging from the beautiful vintage cars driving by and vintage clothing worn by background performers. I will add photos of the various scenes with Christoph Waltz as Walter Keane and Jason Schwartzman as the gallery owner but it will take a while to work through them.
