Here’s a front-row look at Creation Entertainment’s annual Salute to Supernatural in Vancouver last weekend. No wonder #VanCon is the highlight of the year for the Supernatural family. You can see what a fun, wild event this is, with lots of insider scoop from cast and producers, as well as unprecedented access to just about everyone fans want to meet.
Highlights: Little Thomas Padalecki made his debut on his father Jared’s lap, adding his signature to his Dad’s in an autograph session. Supernatural executive producer Robert “Bobby” Singer told fans — in a surprise appearance — that he thought the on-screen sex scene between Sam and Ruby (little Thomas’s real-life parents Jared Padalecki and Genevieve Cortese) was “very hot”. An Impala cosplay fan asked Jensen Ackles if he wanted to “sit inside” her. Ty Olsson (Benny the Vampirate) tongued a portrait of Jensen Ackles to get the charity auction bids going. Who set the tone? Master of ceremonies Richard Speight Jr. (the Trickster) who introduced panelists with their “porn names” and hash tag #Porncouver was born.
