Fifty Shades of Grey scrapped a planned stunt yesterday in Gastown of Seattle billionaire Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) saving Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) from being hit by a bicycle as they near a cobblestoned crosswalk in Portland in the spring. The stunt would have been too tricky to do over and over in wet, slippery snow so Fifty Shades of Grey opted out of this morning exterior and a later scene in the courtyard of the nearby Koret Lofts. Crew later picked up these bikes parked near Gassy Jack statue and took them to the Burrard Ironworks building near the Main Street overpass where Fifty Shades of Grey has been filming inside today and yesterday. That’s probably a welcome relief for the leads who spent Sunday shooting in freezing temperatures at the Bentall 5 tower dressed as Grey House.
Hopefully this near-miss collision with a bicycle will be rescheduled in better weather — whenever that happens.
