- Wednesday, December 18th – Fifty Shades of Grey films scenes with Washington State University Vancouver (WSUV) cap-and-gown graduates and Ana (Dakota Johnson)a’s stepdad Ray (Callum Keith Rennie) and then of the afterparty where Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) meets Ray filmed in Frederic Wood Theatre at UBC.
- Wednesday, December 18th – Continuum films Kiera (Rachel Nichols) and Carlos (Victor Webster) walk-and-talk at Dunsmuir & Howe downtown.
- Wednesday, December 18th – The Tomorrow People films at and around the Patricia Hotel in the Downtown Eastside with Robbie Amell and Mark Pellegrino spotted on set.

Ana’s best friend Kate (Eloise Mumford) gives the valedictory address and Ana’s “boyfriend” Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) gives a speech about ending world hunger.

- Tuesday, December 17th – The Tomorrow People cast Graceland star Serinda Swan as the Founder’s daughter.
- Tuesday, December 17th – Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters starring Logan Lerman released on DVD, Blue-ray & for download. According to the credits, the making of this film supported 15,000 jobs and hundreds of thousands of work hours. Most of them in B.C.
- Monday, December 16th – Almost Human 1×06 airs on FOX and Global TV. When Kennex (Karl Urban) and Dorian (Michael Ealy) investigate a strange death at a hospital, they discover a black market for vital organs and Dorian reconnects with a decommissioned DRN (also Michael Ealy). Kennex’s “ride-along-from-hell” with both DRNs ends in Victory Square where Urban kept cracking up at Ealy’s antics.
