Why are Starling City police pointing guns at Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) and Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell)? That was the first scene Arrow filmed around Belkin House dressed as the Starling City Courthouse on Tuesday for 2×17 Birds of Prey. The image is from an architectural office overlooking an alley near Belkin House.
Then production moved into the Courthouse for the afternoon and evening with Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) and The Huntress (Jessica de Gouw) spotted heading into set at lunchtime. That’s an odd combination but The Huntress remains bent on revenge against her father and somehow Laurel gets in the way. Who will come to her rescue in the stunt sequence filmed inside?
Not who you think. Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) steps up as The Black Canary without revealing her true identity to her sister. The Huntress versus The Black Canary? Now that’s a fight I can’t wait to see on screen.
Much later, production shut the 500 block of Homer to traffic for an exterior night shoot until sometime between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. (via Filming Notice) with police, SWAT and emergency vehicles on the scene. This giant light on a lift acts as a searchlight.

Arrow 2×17 Birds of Prey is expected to air March 26th on The CW in the U.S. and CTV in Canada.
