Showcase announced today that season three of Vancouver-cop-from-the-future series Continuum will premiere on Sunday, March 16th, in Canada. And the press release provided a few details about the upcoming thirteen episodes. When we last left cop Kiera Cameron (Rachel Nichols) in present-day Vancouver she had been betrayed by Alec Sandler (Erik Knudsen) who’d taken the time travel device that she’d hoped would return her to her family in 2077. And she had been captured by time-travelling Freelancers, who protect history’s timeline. “Kiera must forge new alliances to escape [the Freelancers] while contending with a newly strategic Liber8 organization and a growing darkness in her police partner Carlos Fonnegra (Victor Webster),” the release said.
So it’s no longer as spoilery to share a mid-December Continuum shoot at the iconic Marine Building in downtown Vancouver: The scene: Kiera and Carlos emerge from the Marine Building dressed as the Bregenzer Bank. Kiera grabs a woman walking in front of them and shoves her against the wall while Carlos keeps going to their blue unmarked squad car without a backward glance.
Kiera “manhandles” the woman in take after take.
Carlos seems totally oblivious to what Kiera’s doing. [Turns out he’s chasing a dirty cop]
Kiera hands off the woman to uniformed police.
And heads out to the unmarked blue squad car.
Where Carlos is waiting.
And cut.
The Marine Building.
No guest stars were harmed in the making of this episode.
