UPGRADED: Six Vancouver Extras To Film with Hugh Laurie at TOMORROWLAND’s Disneyland Shoot

IF

The life of a background actor in Vancouver is busy but often anonymous. Not so for six lucky local extras on Disney’s Tomorrowland, handpicked by director Brad Bird for continuity on the movie’s 1964 New York World’s Fair shoots in Vancouver, Walt Disney World and now Disneyland. Collectively known as the “Nix Six” because they work with Tomorrowland Mayor David Nix (Hugh Laurie), they’ll fly down to Los Angeles for the Tuesday-Wednesday shoot at Disneyland’s “it’s a small world”.

Tomorrowland tells the story of how the technological promise of the 1964 New York World’s Fair developed in an alternate world but not in our own. Young boy-genius inventor (Thomas Robinson) visits this enigmatic place at the fair and meets its mayor (Hugh Laurie). Years later, the now jaded former boy-genius inventor (George Clooney) goes in search of it again, along with an optimistic teen (Britt Robertson) because this alternate world is crossing over into our own and causing havoc.

Tomorrowland is expected in theatres on May 22nd, 2015.
