RENEWED: FALLING SKIES With Noah Wyle Will Return for Fifth & Final Season

Tick Tick Boom. Only one more Falling Skies season of ten episodes to be filmed in Vancouver.  Producers feel it’s  time to wrap up the alien invasion saga in the best possible way with a fifth and final season, reported Deadline: Hollywood earlier this week.

Shot in Vancouver since the second season, Falling Skies is about a small group of insurgents 2nd Mass — named after the 2nd Massachusetts of the American Revolution — who’ve fought against an occupying alien force for three-plus seasons.

More than good sci-fi it appeals as a family show featuring former Boston history prof Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) and his three sons — the eldest Hal (heartthrob Drew Roy), once-harnassed middle son Ben (Connor Jessup) and youngest son Matt (Maxim Knight). But it turns out Tom’s abnormally fast-growing daughter Lexie (Scarlett Byrne) with pediatrician Anne Glass (Moon Bloodgood) is an alien-human hybrid and not really a Mason.

Season Four began with a separated 2nd Mass and Mason family like Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back but they will re-unite in a week and continue their fight Sunday nights on TNT in the U.S. and Thursday nights on Super Channel in Canada.
