SHOOT: WITCHES OF EAST END S2 in East Vancouver as Late 19th/Early 20th Century New York

Update: Joanna Beauchamp (Julia Ormond) goes back in the past to retrieve something, along with her sister Wendy (Madchen Amick) and resurrected daughter Freya (Jenna Dewan Tatum) in 2×10 The Fall of the House of Beauchamp.

Where will the next past life take the Witches of East End? Late nineteenth/early 20th century New York? At the beginning of the week, Witches of East End went on location to the Terminal City Ironworks compound in east Vancouver. Not much could be seen of the set except for the washing hanging from lines inside, backgrounders on a break dressed in the flat caps (newsboy caps) common among the working classes of that period and a horse and buggy headed to set. Does that suggest late nineteenth/early 20th century New York City to you?

Costume designer Susan De Laval won a well-deserved Leo Award for her work in the first season of Witches of East End.

She will have a wealth of period costuming to choose from in the second season like her 1970s disco stylings from last week’s Boogie Knights.
