It’s A New Reality. Two Flashes Are Better Than One Until One Forgets He’s The Flash.
Why would Barry Allen give up Flashpoint in the season 3 premiere, a world where both of his parents are alive, he can start fresh with his love Iris West and there are two Flashes to save Central City? Sure there are some troubling differences with Team Flash: Cisco is an arrogant billionaire who calls him “stringbean” and kicks him out his offices. Caitlin is a scientist but has no idea who Barry Allen is. And Joe West is a mess and not the father figure he’s known for most of his life. But it’s a chance at a normal life.

Parents alive.
Can date Iris West who didn’t grow up with him in same house.
And there are two Flashes. The Flash and Kid Flash.

Filmed in dumpster in downtown Vancouver laneway.
But Cisco is a rich jerk.
And Caitlin doesn’t know him either.
And there are worse things than that, according to harbinger of doom, Reverse Flash.
What could be worse than your friends not knowing you? How about when Barry starts forgetting his former life and his powers start to fade. Can he continue to live in this alternate universe or is it time to return to his own as The Flash?
THE FLASH Season 3 Episode 1. Flashpoint : WHAT WOULD YOU SACRIFICE TO HAVE EVERYTHING YOU’VE EVER WANTED? — Barry (Grant Gustin) is living his dream life – his parents are alive, he’s asked Iris West (Candice Patton) on a date and he can finally be a normal guy as Central City has another speedster, Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale), running around saving the city. When Barry starts forgetting parts of his old life, the Reverse Flash (guest star Matt Letscher) taunts his nemesis and tells him that there will be serious repercussions for Barry and the ones he loves if he continues to live in this alternate universe. In addition to losing his memories, his powers will also start to fade. When disaster strikes, Barry must decide if he wants to continue to live in this world as Barry Allen or return to his universe as The Flash. Jesse Warn directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Brooke Roberts (#301). Original airdate 10/4/2016.
The Flash season 3 premieres Tuesday, October 4th, on The CW in the U.S. and CTV in Canada.
