Prison Break is about brothers Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows — Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell — who take turns breaking each other out of prison. It ran for four seasons on FOX – 2005 to 2009 — and filmed its 9-episode revival in metro Vancouver and Morocco last Spring and early Summer. In the Revival, Lincoln and Michael’s widow Sara — Sarah Wayne Callies — team up after they discover Michael is still alive in a Yemen Prison.

It had been five years since Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell had seen each other when they reunited on The Flash as Captain Cold and Heatstorm, Miller told the Television Critics Association winter press tour today. “And we were back on set, talking about old times, and out of that conversation came the possibility of revisiting Prison Break.”
Why 9 episodes and not ten? Because Prison Break had to accomodate Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell’s schedules on the first season of Legends of Tomorrow which wrapped a few days before Prison Break season 5 began shooting. And Sarah Wayne Callies, who had to wrap early on Prison Break to start filming the second season of Colony.
