Revised and Updated:
In case there was any doubt that the “stone” troll under Vancouver’s Heatley Overpass is for Once Upon a Time, that’s Hyperion Heights — aka the new Storybrooke — tagged on the wall behind and the troll is clutching a VW bug.
In the reset season, old favourites like Regina, the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla), Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) and Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) are victims of a new curse that places them in a new city with new identities, along with a grownup Henry (Andrew J. West) and his daughter Lucy (Alison Fernandez). Hyperion Heights in Seattle is the new Storybrooke.
Is Once Upon a Time using an actual Seattle landmark — the Fremont Troll — to nod to Emma Swan’s absence? Lead Jennifer Morrison left the show last season. The show’s replica of the Fremont Troll could link its VW bug to the famous yellow Swanbug.
Filming at the troll under the bridge is Friday afternoon and the 600 and 700 blocks of Alexander Street will be closed to traffic.
Good spotting by @JayTweet.

// That’s a replica of the troll under one of the bridges in the Seattle area. I should know. I lived there.
