Where did we leave agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully? On a Washington, D.C. bridge with Mulder apparently dying from an alien virus unleashed on the world and an immune Scully desperate to save him. We pick up not long after the cliffhanger with the roles reversed. Mulder is driving around town and Scully is in hospital.
The X-Files season 11 premiere — written and directed by The X-Files creator Chris Carter — is called My Struggle 3 and is about Mulder and Scully’s search for her son William. It turns out the agents aren’t the only ones looking for the given-up-for-adoption son and the fate of the world may depend on finding the 17-year-old.
Somehow Dana Scully communicates with William.
I saw two big shoots for the season 11 premiere. Fox Mulder racing through traffic, filmed on Vancouver’s Georgia Viaduct.
My photo of one of the multiple takes of Mulder racing through traffic on the Georgia Viaduct.
And another of Fox Mulder skulking around a clandestine organization headed up by Erika Price (Barbara Hershey), filmed at Cecil Green House on the University of British Columbia campus. This group is apparently at odds with Mulder’s big bad Dad, the Cigarette Smoking Man.
Season 11 of The X-Files premieres tonight on Fox in the U.S. and CTV in Canada.
