Vancouver’s own Jacob Tremblay is going R-rated in the Superbad-style comedy Good Boys filming here this summer.

It’ll be a coming-of-age story with Tremblay as the leader of a gang of 12-year-old boys who skip school for a day of really bad decisions and comic exploits.

Good Boys is produced by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver who brought us Sausage Party, Superbad and Blockers with a $15 – 20 million budget.

 And written and directed by Lee Eisenberg & Gene Stupnitsky of The Office and Bad Teacher fame.

Jacob Tremblay is the young star of Room and Wonder and upcoming big-budget The Predator.

He recently shared his Star Wars obsession this Star Wars Day, May the 4th.

Good Boys is expected for film from July 9th to August 23rd in Vancouver.
