BIG MOVIE: Lars Klevberg’s CHILD’S PLAY Reboot Wraps Filming in Vancouver

Child’s Play.

The Child’s Play remake has wrapped principal photography.

Norwegian filmmaker Lars Klevberg remade the 1980s cult horror film Child’s Play (working title The Kaslan Project) in Vancouver this Fall.

Filming dates: September 17th to November 8th.

Cast: Gabriel Bateman, Aubrey Plaza, Brian Tyree Henry.

What’s it about?

12-year-old Andy Barclay (Gabriel Bateman) and his ragtag group of friends face off against a robot doll on a killing spree (this differs from the original concept of a doll possessed by the soul of a serial killer).

Ragtag group on location at Vancouver’s Holly Lodge in the West End.

Aubrey Plaza is his Mom Karen Barclay and Brian Tyee Henry is Detective Mike Norris.

Lars Klevberg directs based on a script by Tyler Burton Smith. Brendan Uegama is the Director of Photography

The original film was directed by Tom Holland and co-created by Don Mancini. The Klevberg remake is a different project than Mancini’s upcoming Child’s Play television series.
