Child’s Play.
Good Guy doll named Buddi.
More than a toy, he’s your best friend.
Norwegian filmmaker Lars Klevberg’s remake of the 1980s killer doll film Child’s Play gets a choice summer release date next year.
Child’s Play follows a mother who gives her son a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature.
12-year-old Andy Barclay (Gabriel Bateman) and his ragtag group of friends face off against a high-tech doll on a killing spree (a Chinese factory worker re-programs the high-tech doll to have no limitations instead of the original concept of a doll possessed by the soul of a serial killer).
Cast: Gabriel Bateman, Aubrey Plaza, Brian Tyree Henry.
Child’s Play reboot filmed in Vancouver from mid-September to late last week.
