Child’s Play Movie.
The new Child’s Play movie, like the original, follows a mother who gives her son a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature.
The new killer doll Buddi is voiced by Mark Hamill of Star Wars fame and even looks a bit like him.

Karen Barclay (Aubrey Plaza) gives her 12-year-old son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi doll as a best friend, not knowing that a Chinese factory worker has re-programmed the high-tech doll to have no limitations.
Andy and his ragtag group of friends face off against the doll on a killing spree (in the original Child’s Play, the doll was possessed by the soul of a serial killer).

The original film was directed by Tom Holland and co-created by Don Mancini. The Klevberg remake is a different project than Mancini’s upcoming Child’s Play television series.
