Deadly Class

Syfy has not renewed its cult hit Deadly Class, which was filmed in Vancouver.

It was such a long wait for the decision that it doesn’t come as a complete shock.

Update: Deadly Class couldn’t find a new home so season one is all you’ll get.

Adapted from the graphic novel, the series is from the Russo brothers — directors of the biggest movie in the world, Avengers: Infinity War.

Cast: Benjamin Wadsworth, Benedict Wong, Lana Condor, María Gabriela de Faría, Luke Tennie, Liam James, Michel Duval, Henry Rollins, Taylor Hickson, Jack Gillett, Sean Depner and Ryan Robbins.

Deadly Class didn’t air unnoticed. It’s up for a Rockie Award at the Banff InternationalMedia Festival next week in the sci-fi and genre category, alongside the new Doctor Who with Jodie Whittaker.

Lana Condor of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before films is the deadly Saya, an outcast from one of Japan’s top Yakuza clans.

Benedict Wong is master of  King’s Dominion Atelier of the Deadly Arts.

Rick Remender and Wes Craig’s graphic novel set against the backdrop of late 1980s counterculture.

And was regularly seen in Chinatown.
